Palwan, one of the most amazing islands of Philippines.

I have traveled a lot, I have seen a lot of places but my heart is still where my home is, Philippines.

When The Brown Nomad contacted me for my story, I knew at once what my heart wanted. It was to talk about the beautiful island of Palawan. The provincial capital is Puerto Princesa and it is the largest province in terms of land area. It is considered as the last frontier of the Philippines.

The people of Palawan speak a lot of different languages as it has numerous groups of hunter gatherer people.
Cuyonan became the most common language here, because it had been a language of trade for a very long time.

Puerto Princesa International Airport(IATA: PPS) is the main gateway to Palawan, major airlines serve international and domestic flights; Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia have flights to and from Manila and Cebu. Cebu Pacific also fly to Iloilo. Air Asia also fly to Davao.

El Nido Airport(IATA: ENI), charter flights are provided Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) while Seasonal flights are offered by SEAIR.

A new community airport is near completion in San Vicente.

Some of the best things that are offered by the beauty island Palawan are the food, the view and the fireflies.

When it comes to food, the best option is the Tamilok.

Once you are done eating, you can take a nap and then hike the Taraw peak.

Now that you have gotten sweat and dust all over your body you can go and wash it off at  Nagkalit kalit Falls.

Some other things you can do here are.
El NidoSee Dilumacad and Matinloc islands where Bourne Legacy was filmed, Helicopter Island, Secret Beach, and Star Beach. Join one of the boats leaving from El Nido pier. Most trips include lunch and a kayaking experience.

Let’s not forget,  Puerto PrincesaVisit the Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the longest navigable subterranean river in the world. Incredible rock formations along the river.

Palawan is a great location for a traveler to explore the beauty that Philippines has to offer, besides this there is also
the rest of the beautiful country of the Philippines.
